EV Chargers

Adding a Charging Station at Home

With an increase of Electric Vehicles on the road, we can help you take all things into consideration when it comes to installing your EV Charger at Home.

Planning an EV Install

There are a few things homeowners should consider before buying a charger to install in their home:

  • What kind of charger should I purchase?
  • Can my current electrical system support this kind of charger?
  • Will this system work safely and efficiently in my home?

Types of Chargers

There are 3 Levels of Chargers for Electrical Vehicles:

Level 1 Chargers can be used in a standard outlet and are most common for overnight charges, as they take a few hours to charge the vehicle.

Lebel 2 Chargers are faster and can require far less time to reach a full charge. These chargers do require an electrician for installation as they need a dedicated circuit to supply the vehicle with enough charge. These are the most popular kind of home chargers.

Level 3 Chargers require industrial power supply and are not typically installed in homes.

Can My Current Electrical System Support My EV Charger?

For most EV Chargers you will need a 200 amp service. If you're home does not have a large enough service, you may need to upgrade to add your charger.

Our team can help with this process to ensure your EV charger works properly and safely in your home.
